We are looking forward to a great national rally at Spearfish! There are at least twenty-four Southeast coaches registered with seven of those being first time attendees. Our rally coordinator is planning a three-day pre-rally at the same location as the National Rally. I encourage you to attend the pre-rally, the pace is slower than when the national starts and you will have more social and sightseeing opportunities.
Southeast has several chapter rallies scheduled and we are planning more! Our rally schedule, updates and registration are always available on the southeast web site www.southeastaca.net .
In October we will be in Fort Myers at the Gulf Waters RV Park, the highest rated premier RV Park in the area. Southeast has not been to this area in at least eight years and there seems to be a good interest. As of late May this rally is nearing two/thirds of our capacity. Please register soon!
Southeast will have our annual Christmas Rally at the Sun-N-Fun resort in Sarasota. Sun-N-Fun is a luxury facility that is widely recognized as one of the premier resorts in the world. Our experienced rally hosts Terry (Muffin) & Belinda Moorefield along with Dave & Ann Laudick and Wendy Gaynor are going to provide a fun filled rally!
We already have received about a half of our registrations for the 8th Annual Regional Rally at Lazydays. This rally will be a little different in 2019. Based on comments we have received opening night will be more socially oriented with background music only. The rally will also be shortened to three nights with meals each night. The rally will end on the morning the Supershow rally begins.
We are going back to the Florida RV Supershow in January 2019. There were 40 SEACA coaches in attendance in January 2018 and it was a lot of fun. Everyone got along just fine on the 30A power with no water and no sewer. Based on lessons learned from our previous Supershow rallies we have posted a tentative agenda on www.myamericancoach.com and www.southeastaca.net. This rally is run by the Florida Recreational Vehicle Trade Association (FRVTA) and registration will not be available until fall. We will do our best to keep you informed to when registrations are available through the FRVTA. Please note that this rally sells out fast.
Our “Adventure at Fort Wilderness” at Disneyworld in early February 2018 had twenty-three coaches in attendance. The feedback was very positive, and we have already planned a “Return to the Wilderness” in February 2019. To register and reserve for extra days call our agent (Hilda), her phone number is listed in the rally details section of this magazine.
Southeast has several regular annual rallies, but there is room for different events with new locations that can accommodate us. We also need hosts to make these events happen. We would like to see rallies in Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi!
Welcome to Southeast’s newest members! Pete & Ruth Robert, Palmer, MA, Aubrey & Tena Rogers, Newberry, FL, Blaine Ruhbusch & Roberta Ernest, Crestview, FL, Susan Singer & Joseph Bouley, Vero Beach, FL, John & Lisa Tasse, Longwood, FL.
Ray and I feel very fortunate to be a part of this chapter and we hope to see you soon!
